Emit Feedback

These are my strongest ideas created in Illustrator, I'd really appreciate some feedback so I can go on to develop a couple with variations in element positioning and the addition of colour.

Thanks for your time!

Hello my lovely

congratulations on a good set of work- they are very professional looking!

the ones that stand out to me are the logo with the whole emit word with the 'e' as adifferent colour - this is the logo that stuck the most in my mind after i went away from the page.

the other one is the logo with the letter'e'and the circles and lines. this one has the most scope for development - the introduction of colour and where to put it(lots of options) also you can play around with the size of the circles and placement of lines.

you are nearly there.......i think that they are a very good set of designs that could already be used in industry

well done!

lots of love

Looks like your getting alot of spam too!

I must say i really like your designs, looks like you have had a productive day!

One thing that was mentioned in our seminar session is the fact the company is not big enough to sustain an image only logo. If the design doesnt already have the the word emit which is very visible and understandable to the bog standard person off the street it needs to be incorporated.

This may be a good way of doing a "loose" logo, meaning the text can be split from the image.

Logo 3 is very nice, it is certainly a unique shape. is that your morse code? perhaps all this needs is a very nice typeface which says the word emit under it or somewhere.

It was also brought up by steve that the letter E is cropping up as the most prominent letter in far too many people's logos.

Logo 1 is also very nice, it is easy to read, and has relevance and interest.

Logo 6 is strange, its good, but i dont know, when i look at it I think restaurant. Doesnt make sense i know. Also reminds me of the film ratatouille.

To be honest I dont like 7, looks like logo for a train company :)

2 is nice, very simple, very plain does what it says, again just needs some kind of detachable lettering.

Hope this helps and gives food for thought.

Hope to see you next week.

I think my favourites of the logos are 1 and 5. 1 because it is relatively simple; a wordmark but with some decoration to give it a bit of interest.

5 is probably my favoured idea, but that may be because I know what it is! I think it stimulates interest, and is definitive recognisable and creative. It has very good contrast and presence. The problem is the word 'emit'... I think this needs to be more prominent, as at small sizes it won't be clear. It does need to be included though, as 'emit' isn't a strong enough brand to get away with just a graphic logo. I really like the concept of this, even if it is based on ASL (American Sign Language), rather than BSL (British Sign Language) ;).

Hey Michelle,

Sorry that you couldn't make it to this weeks seminar class; however, I am please that your work wasn't there to show mine up!

The work that you have produced is, as ever, to a very high standard. My personal favourites are 1, 5 & 6. As Steve has mentioned, the Emit brand is not strong enough to be recognised with a graphic only logo.

Number 5 reminds me of a sports brand but I cannot quite put my finger on which one. Although I do really like it, I feel that it may have issues with legibility when reduced to a very small size.

Based upon the principles that we have studied my choice of the selected would have to be number 6.
